Afternoon Tour Itinerary (16:30 - 23:00)

16:30 – 18:00 | Cave Exploration & Swimming
Start your tour at the famous Matala Caves. These Neolithic caves carved into the cliffs became world-renowned as a hippie haven in the 1960s. They remain open to the public until 18:00 (with a small entrance fee). After exploring, head straight down to Matala Beach for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters right beneath the imposing cliff.

18:00 – 19:30 | Beach Relaxation & Village Stroll
Enjoy the late afternoon sun, then take a stroll through the colorful alleys of the village. You'll find the iconic "hippie" painted streets, vibrant street art, and charming little souvenir shops.

19:30 – 20:30 | Wine with a Sunset View
As sunset approaches (around 20:15-20:30 in the summer), pick a nice spot to enjoy a glass of fine Cretan wine. Anemi Restaurant Wine Bar is an excellent choice, offering a fantastic wine list and a lovely atmosphere.

20:30 – 22:30 | Dinner by the Sea
Time for a proper dinner. You can stay at Anemi for food, or head over to SCALA Premium Sea Food Bar for fresh fish and seafood with a view of the beautifully lit Matala cliff. Another great option is Plaka Matala for authentic Greek and Cretan cuisine.

22:30 – 23:00 | Return to the Hotel
Take one last short walk under the moonlight and head back, making sure you are back at your hotel by exactly 23:00, full of beautiful memories.
